Baby College West Oxfordshire

Hi, my name is Emma and I run Baby College classes in West Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds in Witney and Chipping Norton and in North Oxfordshire in Banbury and Bicester
Our Classes
Infants 0-9 months
Our Infant classes give you a real insight into your baby’s development, helping you feel more confident and connected as they grow. Every activity is suitable from birth, with exercises that progress gently alongside your baby.
Toddlers 9-18 months
As your baby becomes more active and curious about the world, our Toddler classes introduce new learning themes and skills to match. Activities are designed to build language, social skills and body awareness in a fun, sociable setting.
Juniors 18 months – 3 years+
Our Junior programme is perfect for older toddlers who are on the go and ready for more. We focus on building confidence in physical and social skills, encouraging independence through games that are as stimulating as they are fun. They won’t even notice how much they’re learning.
Baby College West Oxfordshire
About us

Hi, my name is Emma and I have been running Baby College classes in West Oxfordshire in Witney and Chipping Norton since September 2016 and now in North Oxfordshire in Banbury and Bicester too. Having graduated with a degree in French and German and worked initially as a linguist for the civil service, I decided to train and qualify as a modern languages teacher and taught children aged 11-18 in secondary schools for ten years before having my own two little monkeys.
During my maternity leave I found I really enjoyed doing activities which involved music, movement, cognitive skills and lots of interaction between mum and baby. When I discovered Baby College I realised that it had something really special to offer: a chance to nurture the bond between parent and child while encouraging consolidation of infant milestones through the use of music, movement and a variety of multi-sensory experiences. The well-researched links to child development are informative and refreshing and sets Baby College apart from other mum and baby classes out there. Baby College offers something for mums and dads too, the chance to boost your own confidence as a parent, and the knowledge that you are helping to give your child the best start in life.
I am thrilled to be offering Baby College classes in West Oxfordshire and now North Oxfordshire too and look forward to meeting you and your little one! Please contact me for more details.

Hi from Rebecca: “I am so excited to be working with Emma from September 2025 teaching the Enstone classes. Coming from a drama background and having previously run Witney library’s Rhyme Time alongside being a stay at home mum has made me passionate about early years development and supporting parents and care givers.
Over the years I have attended Emma’s Baby College classes with all my children and have always found them to be a wonderful way to connect and grow with them. It fills me with joy that I am now part of a team that creates opportunities for parents and caregivers to bond and learn with their child just as I have experienced with my children.”
Customer Reviews
“I love that Baby College classes have been so beneficial in helping me understand my baby more throughout her babyhood. Emma is a fantastic teacher – confident, knowledgeable and friendly and always puts all the parents at ease. I always recommend to anyone looking for a unique baby class that offers much more than your average class! The classes are so well thought-out, and I always come away having learned developmental information relevant to my daughter’s age, as well as brilliant physical exercises and activities to further her development at home!”

“I absolutely love Baby College and have been attending since my baby was 5 months old. It’s a lovely class, giving you ideas and knowledge of how best to play with your baby/toddler to help their development, and the scientific reasoning behind it all. It includes dancing, baby sign language, lots of songs and always bubbles at the end of class, which the babies love! I thoroughly recommend Baby College and Emma!”

“We love, love love Baby College! My daughter and I are on our third term now, and it never gets old. When life is so crazy and you find it hard just to concentrate on your little one without all the everyday distractions, Emma and Baby College are there! I really enjoy having this time every week to really focus on my daughter and take home lots of song and activity ideas to try out. Emma is so reassuring and knowledgeable, at a time when your baby is changing so quickly it’s so helpful to have someone there suggesting different ways to support their development. Thoroughly recommend!”

“We love Baby College! My daughter started when she was 12 weeks old and it’s been so much fun. It’s really well-structured with lots of songs, activities, dancing, signing, and of course bubbles! It’s given me lots of ideas for fun and age-appropriate activities to do with my daughter at home and I love seeing her smiling face during every class! We sing the ‘Hello Song’ to her several times a day as she loves it so much!”
Hannah, Enstone
“I have been attending baby college classes since January and have really enjoyed them. It’s a really good place to find out more about the development of my baby and also excellent for discovering new things to do to entertain her. I’ve particularly appreciated the sign language that we learn during these lessons. I’ve been making a concerted effort to continue using signs at home to facilitate communication with the little one. Emma is an excellent teacher and I would thoroughly recommend these classes to anyone!”
