Baby Classes Near Me: What to Expect Before a New Term Starts
A new term of Baby College is about to begin, and whether you are booking your very first class or coming back for another term, here is everything you need to know before you walk through the door.
Why a new term is a good time to start
Every term begins fresh, which makes it the easiest point to join. Nobody is ahead of anybody else. You will be surrounded by other parents and carers who are just as new to it all, working through the same milestones, the same broken nights, and the same questions.
What to expect from your first class
Baby College runs across three tiers, so your baby joins a class built around exactly where they are:
- Infants, birth to 9 months
- Toddlers, 9 to 18 months
- Juniors, 18 months to 3 years
Each session is a structured mix of physical activity, sensory play, language and music, and social time with other babies. Nothing is random. Every activity is chosen to support a specific area of your baby’s development, and your class leader will explain what is happening and why as you go, so you leave each week with something practical to take home.
What to bring
Comfortable clothes for you and your baby, a water bottle, and a spare nappy is usually all you need. We provide mats and equipment. If you are ever unsure, your local franchisee will tell you exactly what to expect before your first session.
The thinking behind the programme
Baby College’s approach is rooted in developmental science, including research from our partnership with Goldsmiths University. Classes are designed to give you a full, balanced range of experiences each week, physical, sensory, communicative and social, so you are not left guessing what your baby needs. You get the ideas, the confidence, and a room full of other parents going through it with you.
New term, new start
Spaces fill up quickly at the start of term, so if you have been thinking about joining, now is the moment. Come along, bring your baby, and see what a term of Baby College can do.
