Our Classes

Infants 0-9 months

Our Infant classes offer an insight into baby development to increase your confidence and understanding of your growing baby. All our fun activities are suitable from birth with the exercises progressing as your baby grows.

Toddlers 9-18 months

For your older more active baby who is now fascinated with the world around them we introduce additional learning themes and practice new skills. Activities promote language and social skills and body awareness.

Juniors 18 months – 3 years+

Our special fun Junior programme is perfect for older toddlers who are even more active. We love encouraging their confidence in their physical and social skills and in supporting increased independence with fun and stimulating games. They don’t even realise how much they are learning at the same time.

My name is Anne and I run Baby College classes in Cheltenham and Gloucester and the surrounding area.

I am a proud mum of three grown-up children and am thrilled to have also recently become a Grandma. I love spending time with my granddaughter, especially being able to have lots of fun with her with none of the sleepless nights!

It was through my daughter and granddaughter that I first learned of Baby College. Having heard how high the quality of the sessions were, (and how much my granddaughter loved them) I knew it was something I wanted to be involved with.

I have worked with children for over 30 years; both as a primary school teacher and head teacher. I have always known how important the very first years are for children, in fact most of the learning that we will ever do occurs by the time we are three! Because of this, the quality of experiences that children have in their earliest years cannot be understated. Whilst I was a head teacher, I completed a further qualification as a specialist early years teacher (birth to 5 years). This training opened my eyes as to just how much we have learnt in recent years about how babies and young children develop.  The sessions we deliver at Baby College are not only grounded in scientific research but that we continue to engage with leading experts so you can be confident that programme remains cutting edge.

As both a parent and teacher I have always believed that; by doing the best we can for a child today we ensure that they are the best equipped that they can be to thrive and be happy in the future.  The breadth in the Baby College programme is unrivalled, covering all key developmental areas with a focus on wellbeing for babies and adults alike.

I know first-hand that becoming a parent is the most rewarding ‘job’ that you can ever get. It is also the most challenging role we will ever have. Baby College is for adults (Mums, Dads, carers, grandparents etc.) as much as it is for babies and toddlers. It is a safe place to come, meet others, learn and have lots of fun.
